How to test a deposit address with a tiny amount before sending the full swap
Send a very small test transaction first, then verify the address receives it before you send the rest. This is the single most reliable check you can perform.

This asset needs a memo / tag. Send it with or the exchanger cannot credit your deposit.

Status: waiting for your deposit
You send from your own wallet straight to the exchanger — nothing to connect, no account, and you stay on this page throughout. Rates are indicative until a swap is opened.
The swap is carried out by an independent exchanger and the deposit address above is theirs. myrowifhatsol.xyz never holds, receives or controls your funds, has no key to that address, and earns a referral commission. Opening a swap sends your receiving address, IP, browser and timezone to the exchanger for their compliance checks; we store none of it. Check their terms, fees and country restrictions before sending anything.
Why this matters: cryptocurrency addresses are long strings of characters. A single typo, a copied character that looks identical in one font but maps to a different address, or a clipboard hijacker could send your funds somewhere unrecoverable. The test transaction catches all of these before real money moves.
What "tiny amount" means. Use the smallest unit the blockchain allows. On most networks, that is a fraction of the base currency - think of it as a few cents worth or less. The test is about confirming the address, not about moving value. Some networks have minimum transfer amounts imposed by their protocol; check that first. A transaction that cannot complete tells you nothing.
How to run the test. Generate or obtain the deposit address from the exchanger exactly as you would for the full swap. Send your test amount to that address. Wait for the transaction to confirm on-chain. Then, on the exchanger’s interface or by checking the address on a block explorer, confirm the test funds arrived. Only after you see them credited, send the full amount.
What the test does not guarantee. A successful test confirms the address is correct and the network path works. It does not guarantee the exchanger will honor the swap terms. It does not prove the address belongs to the exchanger indefinitely - some services rotate addresses. It does not detect a fake frontend that shows a real address but then redirects your funds elsewhere. For those risks, you rely on other checks covered in the hub page Swapping crypto safely, which discusses verifying the site itself.
When the test fails. If the test transaction does not arrive after a reasonable number of confirmations, stop. Do not send more. Common reasons: you copied the wrong address, the network is congested, or the address belongs to a different blockchain entirely (for example, sending an ERC-20 token to a Bitcoin address). Double-check the address character by character. Confirm the network matches. If the exchanger shows a pending transaction but no credit, contact their support - with the transaction ID - before proceeding.
One nuance. Some services impose a minimum swap amount that is larger than a reasonable test. In that case, the test transaction alone may not trigger a swap. That is fine. You are testing the address, not the exchange logic. If the address credits the test amount, it is safe to send the minimum swap amount next. If the service complains that the test amount is below their threshold, that is a separate issue - you have still proven the address works.
What to do after the test. Once the test amount is confirmed received, send the full swap amount to the same address if the service allows it, or follow their instructions for a fresh deposit. Some exchangers generate a new address per transaction; the test then proves the mechanism works, not that specific address can be reused.
If the test succeeds but the full swap fails. That points to a problem with the swap itself, not the address. The hub page Swapping crypto safely covers common swap failures and what to check next.
In short: always test. The cost of a tiny failed transaction is trivial. The cost of a full lost swap is not.
